This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when businesses and their customers use the Review Web platform, including our email and SMS communication features.
This policy applies to all users of Review Web and is designed to comply with applicable privacy laws, carrier requirements (including U.S. A2P 10DLC messaging regulations), and the terms of service of third-party data providers.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information Collected from Businesses
When a business creates an account, we may collect:
- Business name
- Contact email address
- Phone number
- Business address
- Authorized user information
- Billing information (processed securely via Stripe; Review Web does not store full payment details)
2.2 Information Collected About Customers
Businesses using Review Web may upload or enter customer contact information, including:
- First and last name
- Email address
- Mobile phone number
- Internal notes related to services or transactions
- Survey responses (when surveys are used)
This information is provided solely by the business and used only for the purpose of sending review requests, surveys, and related communications.
2.3 Information from Third-Party Services
Review Web integrates with third-party services to provide certain features. When you connect your business or use features that rely on these services, we may access and display:
Google Places API:
- Business information (name, address, phone, hours, website)
- Google review ratings and review content
- Google Business Profile photos
- Place IDs and location data
Zillow (for real estate professionals):
- Agent profile information
- Zillow reviews and ratings
This data is retrieved in real-time and is not permanently stored in our databases except for Place IDs and basic business identifiers needed to provide the service.
3. How Information Is Used
We use collected information to:
- Send review request emails and SMS messages on behalf of businesses
- Display business directory pages with review information
- Generate QR codes and review links
- Track delivery, clicks, and unsubscribe status
- Stop follow-up messages once a customer interacts or opts out
- Provide analytics and reporting to businesses
- Improve platform functionality and reliability
- Comply with legal and carrier requirements
We do not sell personal information.
4. Third-Party Data Sources and Attribution
4.1 Google Places API
Review Web uses the Google Places API to retrieve and display business information and reviews. By using Review Web, you acknowledge and agree to:

When displaying Google reviews, we include the reviewer's name as provided by Google. Reviews and business data from Google are the property of Google and its licensors.
Data Handling:
- Google review data is retrieved in real-time and cached only temporarily as permitted by Google's terms
- We do not permanently store Google review content
- Place IDs may be stored to identify your business connection
- Google business information is refreshed periodically and not permanently archived
4.2 Zillow
For real estate professionals using Zillow integration, Review Web accesses Zillow data subject to:

When displaying Zillow reviews or agent information, appropriate Zillow branding and attribution is included as required. Zillow data remains the property of Zillow Group.

Review Web may link to or display information from other review platforms including but not limited to:
- Facebook
- Yelp
- TripAdvisor
- Industry-specific platforms (Avvo, Healthgrades, Cars.com, etc.)
Users are responsible for complying with each platform's terms of service when requesting or responding to reviews.
5. SMS Messaging & Consent (10DLC Compliance)
5.1 Consent Responsibility
Businesses using Review Web are responsible for obtaining proper consent from their customers before sending SMS messages through the platform.
By using Review Web's SMS features, businesses represent and warrant that:
- They have obtained express consent from recipients to receive SMS messages
- Messages relate to a legitimate business interaction
- Contact information was collected lawfully
5.2 Message Purpose
SMS messages sent through Review Web are limited to:
- Review requests
- Review follow-ups
- Survey invitations
- Transaction-related messages
Review Web does not support:
- Cold messaging
- Purchased or rented lead lists
- Promotional spam
- High-risk or prohibited message categories
6. Opt-Out & Message Controls
6.1 Opt-Out Instructions
All SMS messages include clear opt-out instructions. Recipients may opt out at any time by:
- Replying STOP
- Clicking an unsubscribe link (where applicable)
Once a recipient opts out:
- They will no longer receive SMS messages from that business via Review Web
- The opt-out is logged and enforced automatically
6.2 Help & Support
Recipients may reply HELP to receive information about the sender and how to stop messages.
7. Data Sharing
We share data only as necessary to operate the platform, including with:
- Messaging providers (e.g., Vonage, Postmark)
- Payment processors (e.g., Stripe)
- Hosting and infrastructure providers
- Third-party API providers (Google, Zillow) as required for functionality
We do not sell or rent personal data to third parties.
8. Data Retention
- Customer contact data is retained only as long as needed to provide services
- If a business account downgrades or cancels, data may be retained for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted
- Opt-out records are retained to ensure compliance and prevent future messaging
- Google and Zillow data is not permanently stored; it is retrieved in real-time or cached temporarily as permitted
9. Security
We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including:
- Encrypted data storage and transmission
- Access controls and role-based permissions
- Secure API integrations
- Regular security assessments
10. Children's Privacy
Review Web is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
